Errachidia, in the pre-Saharan region of Tafilalet in southeastern Morocco is located in the Ziz Valley, between the High Atlas Mountains and desert sand hills in a landscape of rocks and stone fields. An oasis of 45,000 inhabitants in the desert, the city preserved from foreign influences forms a unique setting. The many date palms behind the ramparts and the sometimes snow-capped red mountains contrast with the sand dunes.
In the morning at 9 o’clock, we start from Errachidia (Ksar Souk) to the desert( Erg Chebbi) via the great oasis of Goulmima, the Todra gorges in Tinghir which is destination of rock climbers the most popular in Morocco. After the lunch we will continue to Erfoud to visit the archaeological museum of marble and fossils. Then via the vast palm grove of Ziz to visit the kasbah Abdel Halim. Arrive to the dunes of Erg Chebbi for enjoying the sunset in the Merzouga dunes then Overnight in a hotel or a Kasbah.
After breakfast, we start excursion by 4×4 around the dunes of Erg Chebbi explore the Saharian life, landscapes,local nomads, mines Mifis, and small villages called Khamlia Gnawas (blacks of Sudan). After the lunch will be back to the hotel to take some rest to be ready for camels ride then a quiet night in the heart of the desert under nomad tents and shooting stars then overnight in this Berber area.
